HMD Arc² is a budget 4G Android phone that keeps the Arc formula largely intact. It offers a 6.52-inch LCD, 4GB RAM, expandable storage and a 5,000mAh battery. The practical reason to consider it is affordable smartphone access, not a headline performance leap. Its newer finish and slightly reduced weight do not turn an entry-level platform into a device for demanding games.
Display, handling and daily comfort
The 6.52-inch display runs at 60Hz and 576 by 1280 pixels. That is a modest level of detail on a panel this large, but it is workable for messages, calls and everyday video. HMD lists 460 nits peak brightness. The bigger question for a commuter is whether the display remains readable in direct sunlight and whether the thick lower bezel feels comfortable during extended typing.
Processor, memory and app experience
HMD’s official Arc² specification lists the Unisoc 9863A. Some third-party descriptions instead name a T603, but the manufacturer’s published sheet is the basis of this article and structured data. Android 14 Go edition and 4GB physical RAM are intended for lightweight everyday use. HMD also advertises virtual memory, which uses storage and is not the same as extra physical chips.
Cameras and realistic photo expectations
There is a 13MP autofocus rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Portrait, night, pro and panorama modes widen the shooting interface, but the hardware remains entry-level. It is reasonable to use the rear lens for reference pictures or casual social posts; buyers who want reliably strong night photos or optical zoom should seek a higher camera class.
Battery and charging behavior
The 5,000mAh battery is one of the most useful specifications for modest daily usage. HMD quotes up to 51 hours from a documented test method, not an unconditional promise for all conditions. The manufacturer’s specification page describes USB-C connectivity, while exact charging-power claims can differ across listings. For that reason, a precise charging-wattage cell is not added without better confirmed evidence.
Useful features and practical limitations
Arc² uses a side fingerprint sensor and offers face unlock. FM radio and a USB-C connection are useful holdovers for users moving from older devices. The simple dual-circle rear camera styling differs from the original Arc design, though that visual change is not an extra imaging lens. HMD lists two years of quarterly security updates as a support commitment.
Pakistan price, warranty and availability
HMD’s Pakistan storefront has described Arc² as coming soon, while local retail listings have displayed prices. Those two facts can coexist because official channel availability and third-party stock are different questions. The price field therefore identifies a retailer reference, not an official HMD list price. Verify the seller’s warranty, PTA status and included accessories on the actual unit.
How it compares with alternatives
The original HMD Arc offers almost the same display, battery and operating-system approach. An HMD Aura² is another affordable alternative, while the HMD Asha 305 is smaller and uses a separate Pulse system. For buyers trying to minimize cost, comparing verified memory capacity and after-sales coverage is more useful than focusing on the small weight difference.
Buying recommendation
Choose Arc² for a first smartphone, a family backup device or light everyday browsing when the exact Pakistan offer is trustworthy. The limitations are just as important: low-resolution display, conservative processing power and unremarkable cameras. Avoid paying a large premium over Arc solely because the name includes a superscript two.
Understanding the Arc² purchase before comparing numbers
The Arc² name can make it sound like a major upgrade from Arc, but the manufacturer specification keeps much of the display, camera and battery formula. The right comparison is the complete transaction: storage, original packaging, registration, warranty and actual seller reliability. Some local pages still describe official-channel arrival as pending, while others show retailer prices. Those should not be merged into an unsupported official Pakistan price. When examining a unit, open Settings to verify the model name, physical RAM and available storage. Confirm the fingerprint sensor and SIM slot work with your routine. Ask whether the handset has the regional protection specification claimed by the particular seller, rather than assuming European durability grades apply everywhere. Users moving from an old Android phone should also check that their banking and messaging apps support this Go edition build. A slightly newer model is not automatically preferable if an original Arc has clearer after-sales support or a better verified local price.
Before buying, compare the exact Arc² settings screen against the retailer listing. Phone naming, case dimensions and firmware channels can differ, and some sellers reuse generic Arc images. The distinctive Golden Beige or Dark Blue finish is a clue, not proof of model identity. The manufacturer name in the software and packaging should agree with the device invoice.
